Stonnall Juniors FC supported the poppies4kits Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal today. Players and coaches across both teams wore poppies today to show their respect on Remembrance Weekend.
The Poppies4Kits website says – “After seeing the Premier League stars raise thousands by having their shirts embroidered with the poppy emblem, we thought it would be a fantastic idea if all youth clubs could follow the lead of the Premier League clubs and have a poppy on their shirts. The problem we acknowledged is that to have embroidery onto a shirt is not only permanent, but an expensive option…
…we have developed a Self Adhesive woven patch, easily applied, wear for the match, then remove afterwards, even spectators can apply these to their garments and then remove after the event. These are designed as single use poppies.”
The minute’s silence was impeccably observed – well done, boys.
