Stonnall Juniors U10s
Our team topic for this month has been defending and heading, so it has been pleasing that – as nine-year-old players – we have conceded far fewer goals this month and are looking difficult to break down. That, coupled with our first headed goal from Louis – and a second headed goal at futsal later that week – shows that we are taking what we learn at training into our matches. Pitch time is high throughout the team: minimum pitch time is running at 66%.
A hat-trick from Josh – who has generally played in defensive roles to date – was also good to see, as was an overhead kick from Bryn which was only just saved by the keeper. Two of our players are also practising with the WBA shadow academy this month which is testament to their hard work and development. Team-wise we are developing fast and the monthly futsal tournament is helping quicken our decision making and sharpen our ball skills. The continued use of Sir Clive Woodward’s Captured has helped us consolidate our ideas away from training.
Keep up the good work for October 🙂
