Stonnall Juniors Football Club was formed by a group of friends in 2014 for players to enjoy our national sport. Stonnall Juniors is run by a small committee of friends who individually and collectively have a vast knowledge of the game both as players and coaches alike. The club’s primary objective is to offer children a safe environment to participate in football.
Our coaches are members of the FA Licensed Coaches Club and are experienced in Level 1, Level 2, Youth Development, goalkeeping and community coaching. All coaches hold up to date CRB, Emergency Aid and Safeguarding Children qualifications. Parents can rest assured that Stonnall Juniors have the best practices in place to offer quality training.
Too many times over years of being involved in grassroots football, myself and our coaches have seen or heard stories of young players rejected or given false promises by different clubs who have made it quite plain that they only wish to recruit the best players, with little regard for a young person’s feelings. With this being of paramount importance within my mind, Stonnall Juniors have set out to ensure that players of all abilities should have the chance to participate in our national sport and enjoy the experience in a safe and friendly environment without the pressure of the ‘win at all costs’ ethos of some clubs.
The time which Stonnall Juniors gives to its teams and coaching practices is totally voluntary. The reward is seeing the smiles on the faces of the children – that’s priceless.
